Reading Ruminations Reignite Readers! (How's that for alliteration?)

About 200 seventh grade students are part of a online Edmodo group called "Reading Ruminations" where they share and review the books they are reading.  The reading requirements are to read 5 books a quarter and write reviews, including:  about the book, about the author, and a rating out of 5 stars and an explanation of their rating.  Students are able to read and respond to each other's book reviews and get great ideas for what books to read next.  Some students are even using the "GoAnimate!" app in Edmodo to make attention-grabbing cartoon video book reviews discussing the same topics about their books.
