Chinese Inventions Show & Tell

For the "Chinese Invention Impact Project" students presented their Chinese inventions and enlightened each other about the history and impact on the world of Chinese inventions such as silk, gunpowder, ice cream, fireworks, the crossbow, the compass, paper currency, calligraphy, tea, noodles, the umbrella, and more!  Enjoy some photos below:





























































































































S.E.E.K. Independent Learning Project Peer Groups

Students meet in small teams to discuss their challenges, successes, and progress in their independent learning projects!  Each team has a similar category so students can share similar stories and give advise to one another.  Some examples of skills students are learning are photography, cooking, learning a new language, coding, fly-fishing, engineering, welding, jewelry-making, learning an instrument, and more!

"Shark Tank" Style S.E.E.K. Pitch Presentations!

Students shared their independent learning projects in "Shark Tank" style!  For their S.E.E.K. Project (which stands for Students Engage and Explain Knowledge), students choose a skill they would like to practice for the next two quarters, logging progress, and presenting what they learn during 4th quarter!
